April has been drawing, painting, and creating art since she was a small child. This creative drive continued through college, where April majored in fine art, with an intense study of iconographic painting.

 

After college, April focused on a career in librarianship.  Then, in 2009, her family moved from Oregon to Rochester.  Once here, she returned to paining as a way to deal with the shocking whiteness of winter in the Northeast. April discovered that bright colors, beautiful nature themes, and cozy animals are the perfect cure for the winter blahs. Now she paints warm and imaginative images all year long.

 

A Tiny Treasury introduces a new body of work, with whimsical paintings inspired by saints, royalty and the animal kingdom.
